The Green Smoothie Challenge: Day 3
Day 3 Recipe: 2 big handfuls of organic spinach ~ 2 peeled & sliced kiwis ~ 1 peeled & sliced red plum ~ 1 tablespoon of honey ~ 1/4 cup of oats (or your favorite healthy cereal) ~ 1 cup of water
I went back to the fruit and cereal combination because I know it tastes great. I was going to try pairing just kiwis and coconut flakes because a friend of mine recommended it, but I decided against it because my skin probably doesn't need the extra oil. If you do try the coconut combo, please tell me how it tastes!!
The smoothie tasted pretty good overall. It's more tart-like than the Day 1 smoothie due to the kiwis, but I liked it.
